Another nice review just in (June 2020). The Shetland Times calls Sins of the Fathers: "...gripping and gruesome ...an exciting cat and mouse game ... a convincing tale with clear insight into a clever but deranged person ... a real page-turner ... an impressive read." Thanks guys.
Things are moving on for book IV - Blood Brothers. Now finished both the structural edit(does it all hang together and make sense)and the line edit (dots, commas and phrasing) so it's back to Lion for production. I'm very exciting about Blood Brothers - might be the most complex plot and varied characters yet. Launch date: Fri 23rd Oct and available now on pre-order via the usual outlets.
We seem to be on a roll with good publicity. Interviews in the local paper The Orcadian and a major feature interview in the Press and Journal Saturday Magazine here. Extracts will appear in the P&J over the next two weeks then a review at a later date. Review in the Scots Magazine (circ. 259,000) will appear in the May issue. They've already called the DH books "a great series"!
Newsletter #6 just gone out. Lots to report on reviews, events and publication date of the next book (Blood Brothers - Oct 23rd 2020). Not on the mailing list? Click here to add your details.

DEC. 2018: The big DH Christmas giveaway. Something to keep you going between books - a free Christmas themed short story for ANYONE who purchases ANYTHING during December.
You can buy from the website at https://www.worldofdavidhidalgo.com if you need it posted, OR just send me a message or stop me in the street if you're local to Orkney OR buy from Lion Hudson at http://www.lionhudson.com. Other outlets don't count. David Hidalgo and the Badvent Calendar is a 15,000 word story which sees David harassed by a nasty Christmas themed email scam. But instead of just trying to ignore it and forget about it, he decides to find out who's behind it and face them up with the distress they are causing. This involves a trip to Madrid, tracking down a cyber criminal and maybe rescuing two birds with one stone! Get in touch now to get your copy in PDF or ePub format (available as soon as Lion have finished proofing it!) And Happy Christmas from David, Gillian and me.
Nov, 2018: Really nice review of All that Glitters from Living Orkney magazine.
